49ers Worked Out Five Players

According to Howard Balzer, the San Francisco 49ers brought in five players for tryouts on Wednesday.

The full list of tryouts for the 49ers includes:

1. C Erik Austell
2. TE Brandon Barnes
3. LB Chris Casher
4. DT Euclid Cummings
5. CB Shaq Richardson

Barnes, 23, originally signed on with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama State back in May. He was among Detroit’s final roster cuts and signed on with the Jets two weeks later. However, New York decided to waive him after a week.

During his four-year college career, Barnes recorded 29 receptions for 436 yards receiving (15 YPC) and six touchdowns.
