Dolphins Sign WR Rashad Lawrence & OT Sean Hickey, Cut Three

The Miami Dolphins announced that they’ve signed WR Trey Griffey, OT Sean Hickey, and WR Rashad Lawrence.

The Dolphins also waived OT Kwayde Miller, WR Francis Owusu (injured) and WR Jordan Westerkamp (settlement).

Hickey, 25, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Syracuse in May of last year. He, unfortunately, wasn’t able to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but later signed to their practice squad.

After a brief stint with the Patriots, Hickey signed a future/reserve contract with the Jets. However, New York placed him on waivers a week after this year’s draft. The Vikings signed him to a contract during the summer but elected to cut him loose a few weeks ago.

He’s been on and off of the Vikings’ practice squad since then.

Hickey has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Lawrence, 25, wound up signing on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Northwestern back in May of 2015. He was waived at the start of the season and later signed a future/reserve contract with the Bears.

Chicago elected to release him coming out of the 2016  preseason, but he managed to catch on with the Jaguars at the start of the regular season. The Saints signed him to a future/reserve contract this past January before cutting him loose last weekend.

Lawrence has yet to appear in an NFL game.
