Redskins Signing LB Marquis Flowers

Adam Schefter reports that the Redskins are signing LB Marquis Flowers to a contract on Wednesday.

Flowers, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2014. He was traded to the Patriots at the start of last season in return for a 2018 seventh-round pick.

Flowers played out the final year of his four-year, $2,298,680 contract before returning to the Patriots this offseason. Unfortunately, he was released coming out of the preseason and later signed by the Lions.

Detroit released Flowers back in October. Since becoming a free agent, he has worked out for the Jaguars and Texans but left both meetings without a contract.

In 2018, Flowers has appeared in five games for the Lions and recorded two tackles.
