The Steelers have signed former AAF DT Casey Sayles to a contract on Tuesday, according to Aaron Wilson.
Sayles, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio back in May of 2017. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Rams cut him following the 2017 preseason.
Sayles signed a futures deal with the Steelers in January of last year but was once again cut coming out of the preseason.
During his college career, Sayles recorded 110 tackles, 11.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries and six pass defenses over the course of four years and 44 games.
