AFC East Notes: Bills, Dolphins, Patriots

Bills

Bills WR Cole Beasley had a big game against his former team on Thursday. He told reporters after the game that he’s just happy to be in a “place [where] coaches believe in me, teammates believe in me.

“It feels great, man,” Beasley said, via ESPN.com. “I’m just glad I’m in a place [where] coaches believe in me, teammates believe in me and they give me opportunities to do what I do. I was telling everybody before the game, I’m just glad I’m on this side while we’re here. It’s been a great experience and everybody else played their butts off and got win number nine. That’s the most important thing, so I’m just glad to take another step forward.”

Dolphins

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald spoke with multiple NFL personnel men and it’s clear that they don’t view any of the quarterback prospects in this year’s draft as being better prospects than Ohio State DE Chase Young

LSU QB Joe Burrow has played well enough to bein the discussion for the No. 1 pick, but it sounds like there’s at least a chance he could be available at No. 2 or No. 3 overall.

“I must have missed something,” an NFC personnel man tells Salguero of Burrow. “Is he the best prospect in the land? Look, he’s good, there’s a lot to like. He’s going in the top three or four picks. But it would be impossible to grade anyone, including any quarterback coming out this year, above Chase Young.

“There is zero question Chase Young is the top prospect in the next draft. And being in a position to pick him and passing on him for a lesser talent would a tough thing to do.”

Patriots

  • Patriots QB Tom Brady said of his right elbow injury: “I actually feel really good. I mean that.” (Doug Kyed)
