Bengals
- The Athletic’s Paul Dehner Jr. writes that the Patriots could still be an option as a trade partner for Bengals QB Andy Dalton. However, Cincinnati has lost all its leverage and is likely looking at a Day 3 pick at best given how the quarterback market has dried up.
- At this point, though, Dehner says the most likely ending to the situation is Cincinnati has to release Dalton without any takers, even if they try and hold on to him waiting for injuries to potentially open up demand on another team.
- Dehner mentions the Jaguars as a darkhorse for Dalton given OC Jay Gruden has a strong history with the veteran and they currently just have former sixth-round QB Gardner Minshew.
- Bengals CB Trae Waynes‘ three-year, $42 million deal includes a $15 million signing bonus, base salaries of $5 million, $8.4 million and $10.4 million, a $2 million roster bonus in 2021 and up to $200K in per-game active roster bonuses in 2021-2022. (Aaron Wilson)
Browns
- ESPN’s Jake Trotter says to keep an eye on former Vikings and Eagles S Andrew Sendejo for the Browns as they look to make more additions at safety.
Ravens
- Per ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, Ravens GM Eric DeCosta had high praise for TE Hayden Hurst after trading him to the Falcons: โHayden is a talented, emerging player in this league and a high-character individual for whom we have a lot of respect. We feel this is a mutually-beneficial deal, and we wish Hayden the very best in Atlanta.โ
