AFC Notes: Bengals, Browns, Ravens

Bengals

Bengals OL coach Jim Turner said on the “Bengals Booth Podcast” that he actually had a second-round grade on OL Hakeem Adeniji in this year’s draft. Cincinnati ultimately used a sixth-round pick on Adeniji.

“I’ll be honest with you, when I went to the combine…he immediately stands out. I watched him on tape before I got there and I’ll be honest with you, I graded him as a second-round pick. I graded him as a second or third-round pick,” Turner said, via BengalsWire.com. “He’s a Jonah Williams-type person when it comes to how much he loves football and how much he understands commitment…He got drafted way behind what he should’ve been drafted. I could not believe nobody else picked him up.”

Browns

Browns WR Odell Beckham has been the subject of trade speculation for the past year or so. With the Patriots signing QB Cam Newton to a one-year contract, some were wondering whether Beckham Jr could end up in New England.

However, Beckham Jr made it clear he wants to remain in Cleveland where there’s “unfinished business” to address.

“U can find me in The LAND homie! We got unfinished business,” Beckham tweeted in response to Dodgers pitcher Alex Wood.

Ravens

  • Zrebiec adds the Ravens’ release of LB Jake Ryan was related to the veteran’s health and not Baltimore’s feelings about former UDFA LBs Chris Board and Otaro Alaka
