Bengals
- According to NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo, other teams are eyeing the Bengals at No. 11 as a potential landing spot for one of the quarterbacks in the draft, specifically Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins.
- Some factors include the Ohio connection with Haskins and the “splashy” hiring of Zac Taylor from Sean McVay‘s coaching staff with the Rams.
- Ian Rapoport adds that the only notable quarterback the Bengals have actually brought in for a visit is N.C. State’s Ryan Finley, which indicates Cincinnati might be looking more for a backup than someone to supplant Andy Dalton.
- Tom Pelissero mentions Taylor told him at the owners meeting that it was nice to walk into a situation “with a comfort factor knowing what your quarterback can do.”
Jets
- According to Rich Cimini, the Jets plan to ride out 2019 with DE Leonard Williams even if they draft another defensive lineman early. The hope is that Williams would perform well enough to merit a long-term extension or franchise tag.
- Cimini says the pre-draft visitors to keep an eye on for the Jets include Alabama DT Quinnen Williams, Kentucky DE Josh Allen, Houston DT Ed Oliver, Michigan DE Rashan Gary, Alabama OT Jonah Williams, Iowa TE Noah Fant, Washington State OT Andre Dillard, Texas A&M C Erik McCoy and Florida LB Jachai Polite.
Steelers
