AFC Notes: Broncos, Colts, Jaguars

Broncos

  • Free agent LB Brandon Marshall said that the Broncos have shown “little to none” interest in re-signing him. (Nicki Jhabvala)
  • Marshall believes his protests during the National Anthem could be a reason that he remains unsigned.

Colts

Colts HC Frank Reich made clear that veteran K Adam Vinatieri “is our kicker” and have “zero concern” about him this season.

I just want to make this clear – Adam is our kicker,” Reich said, via George Bremer of The Herald Bulletin. “Like I said (Sunday), we have zero concern.”

Reich added that he is not considering adding competition for Vinatieri and the veteran kicker has earned his trust.

Yes, there are high standards for every person on our team,” said Reich. “We all understand that there are high standards, but to say that they’re equally applied to all people is probably not realistic, right? The more games a guy has played, the more he has done, you’ve got a little bit more latitude.

Jaguars

  • Eugene Frenette reports that the Ravens’ locker room was “buzzing” on Tuesday about a trade being finalized for Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey.
  • According to Frenette, the Ravens were reportedly offering the Jaguars first- and second-round picks plus TE Hayden Hurst for Ramsey, but it was ultimately turned down.
