AFC Rumors: Browns, Colts, Texans


  • Mary Kay Cabot reports that no deal between the Browns and WR Breshard Perriman is considered imminent at this point in time. 
  • Cabot mentions that Perriman’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus may prefer to test the open market, given that there’s limited depth at the receiver position. 
  • According to Cabot, the Browns will use either a first- or second-round tender on RFA WR Rashard Higgins, but won’t tender a contract to DB Briean Boddy-Calhoun


  • Stephen Holder’s hunch is that My hunch the Colts are watching the Landon Collins situation closely.
  • The Giants will reportedly pass on franchising Collins, making him one of the best available free agents this offseason. (NFLTR)


  • Albert Breer says that while the Texans franchised OLB Jadeveon Clowney, they are willing to listen to trade offers for him. 
  • However, John McClain says that the Texans want to sign Clowney to a long-term deal and there’s “no way they were going to let him walk away.” McClain says Houston plans to continue to negotiate with his agent Bus Cook.
  • Texas LB Gary Johnson said he had a good meeting with the Texans at the combine. (Aaron Wilson)
