AFC South Notes: Jadeveon Clowney, Jaguars, Texans

Jadeveon Clowney

Texans OLB Jadeveon Clowney told reporters on Saturday that heโ€™s ready to go following another offseason knee surgery.

โ€œIโ€™m ready,โ€ Clowney said, via Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. โ€œIโ€™m very excited. Iโ€™m looking forward to the season.โ€

Clowney did not, however, whether heโ€™ll be ready to take part in the teamโ€™s first training camp practice but he seemed confident and upbeat heading as they prepare for camp.

We have him featured in our Top 25 โ€“ 2019 NFL Free Agents list.

Texans RB Dโ€™Onta Foreman had put together a pretty good rookie season before suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon that led to him being placed on injured reserve.

โ€œMy whole thing is to keep working and not be complacent and not settle for last season,โ€ Foreman said, via the Houston Chronicle. โ€œLast season was good, but I want to be better than that and go higher and reach higher expectations for myself. Thatโ€™s why I got to put last year behind me.โ€

Foreman added that heโ€™s looking forward to making a full recovery and returning to the team.

โ€œIโ€™m very excited,โ€ Foreman said. โ€œThatโ€™s the only thing that Iโ€™ve been working for, just trying to get back out there with my teammates. I miss being around those guys out there on the field and competing with those guys.

โ€œIโ€™ve been doing it on my own, competing with myself. But Iโ€™m ready to get back out there with them. When I do, Iโ€™ll give it my all and whatever that leads me.โ€œ
