AFC West Notes: Broncos, Chargers, Chiefs, Raiders

Broncos

• James Palmer reports that Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders underwent surgery on his torn Achilles Thursday and everything went well. He’s expected to have a 6-8 month rehab.
• The Denver Broncos officially ruled out LB Shaquil Barrett (hip), CB Tramaine Brock (ribs), and CB Chris Harris (fibula) for Week 14 and list LB Brandon Marshall (knee) as questionable.

Chargers

• The Los Angeles Chargers officially ruled out RB Melvin Gordon (knee) and CB Trevor Williams (knee) and list TE Sean Culkin (back) and DT Brandon Mebane (not injury related) as doubtful for Week 14.

Chiefs

• Chiefs HC Andy Reid told reporters on Friday that WR Sammy Watkins “tweaked his foot” at practice on Thursday and had an MRI, which came back okay. Watkins didn’t practice Friday and is likely to be listed as doubtful for Week 14. (BJ Kissel)
• Regarding newly signed WR Kelvin Benjamin, Reid said: ‘‘He’s been good against us. A big, physical player. You add him to the mix. He comes in. He’s got experience and he’s been a good football player at this level and in this league. He was a great college player. We liked him coming out of Florida State.” (Adam Teicher)
• Reid added that he doesn’t expect Benjamin to play this week, given the short turnaround, but it’s possible he’ll make his debut in Week 15 against the Chargers. (Brooke Pryor)
• The Kansas City Chiefs list WR Sammy Watkins (foot) as doubtful for Week 14 and have S Eric Berry (heel) and TE Demetrius Harris (knee, illness) down as questionable.

Raiders

• The Oakland Raiders officially list DT Maurice Hurst (ankle), RB Doug Martin (knee), G Kelechi Osemele (toe), WR Seth Roberts (concussion), LB Kyle Wilber (hamstring), and CB Daryl Worley (shoulder) as questionable for Week 14.
