AFC West Notes: Broncos, Chargers, Raiders

Broncos

Broncos HC Vic Fangio said TE Jake Butt had a minor setback with his ACL injury and is currently day-to-day.

It’s more of what you’d expect. He’s hit a little pothole here in his road to recovery, but I don’t think it’s anything too, too serious at this point. He could be out here tomorrow or he could be another day or two,” said Fangio, via Nicki Jhabvala

Chargers

  • Regarding contract negotiations between the Chargers and RB Melvin Gordon, Josina Anderson reports that Los Angeles has been unwilling to divert from their offer: “They are not willing to move off a certain number.

Raiders

Raiders QB Derek Carr said WR Antonio Brown will be back “soon enough” after being placed on the NFI list.

โ€œYou guys will see him soon enough. Heโ€™s fine,โ€ said Carr, via Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal

Carr feels he can “take more chances” with recently acquired WRs Tyrell Williams and Brown.

โ€œThese guys will make some of the worst throws look good,” said Carr, via Gehlken. “In my mind, I can take more chances.โ€
