AFC West Notes: Broncos, Chargers, Raiders

Broncos

Broncos HC Vic Fangio said TE Jake Butt had a minor setback with his ACL injury and is currently day-to-day.

It’s more of what you’d expect. He’s hit a little pothole here in his road to recovery, but I don’t think it’s anything too, too serious at this point. He could be out here tomorrow or he could be another day or two,” said Fangio, via Nicki Jhabvala

Chargers

  • Regarding contract negotiations between the Chargers and RB Melvin Gordon, Josina Anderson reports that Los Angeles has been unwilling to divert from their offer: “They are not willing to move off a certain number.

Raiders

Raiders QB Derek Carr said WR Antonio Brown will be back “soon enough” after being placed on the NFI list.

You guys will see him soon enough. He’s fine,” said Carr, via Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal

Carr feels he can “take more chances” with recently acquired WRs Tyrell Williams and Brown.

These guys will make some of the worst throws look good,” said Carr, via Gehlken. “In my mind, I can take more chances.”
