Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Alabama DL Da’Ron Payne is flying to Cincinnati on Sunday for a top-30 pre-draft visit with the Bengals set for Monday.
Cincinnati holds the No. 21 overall pick in the draft, which means there’s at least a chance that Payne could still be in the board for them by the time they’re on the clock in round one, especially if teams move up for QBs Lamar Jackson and Mason Rudolph.
Payne has reportedly met with or worked out for the Falcons, Redskins, and Cowboys this offseason. The Lions have also come up as a team to watch, considering that they have his defensive line coach on their new coaching staff.
Payne spent three years at Alabama and recorded 102 tackles, five tackles for a loss, three sacks, an interception, five pass defenses, two fumble recoveries with one being returned for a touchdown and a forced fumble over the course of 35 games.
