Andy Dalton Struggling With The Deep Ball

Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer writes that Bengals QB Andy Dalton‘s deep ball passing has been “inconsistent” during the first few days of Bengals’ training camp.

“I have an understanding of what my drop needs to be, the trajectory of the ball,” Dalton said. “Last year it was more of making sure I knew what I was doing.”

Reedy adds that Dalton and A.J. Green are on the same page in regards to their consistency, but he seems to have some issues with the other targets on the team.

While Dalton put together a great rookie season for the Bengals, he’ll have to show signs on improvement beyond being a game manager before the concerns regarding his overall game begin to dissipate.
