Antonio Bryantโ€™s Situation

Since Antonio Bryant elected to have knee surgery this offseason, his career has been some what of a roller coaster.

After undergoing the surgery, the Cincinnati Bengals signed him to a four-year $28 million dollar deal only cut him five months later. Bryant never looked like he was in playing shape during his time with the Bengals which begs the questions: why would they have committed so much money to a player that had this much risk?

ESPNโ€™s Bill Williamson added the whole AFC West to the list of potential suitors and suggested that the Oakland Raiders may be his best option. Itโ€™s worth noting that his blog specifically covers the AFC West so this article is basically suggesting that all team within the division have problems at wide-receiver.

The San Fransisco Chronicle spoke with Raider head coach Tom Cable who said that: โ€œWe havenโ€™t had any of those kind of discussions at this point,โ€ coach Tom Cable said Sunday night โ€œRight now, weโ€™re more focused on our group.โ€

It would be surprising to see any one of the teams who are in need of help at the wide-receiver position jump at Bryant until they are certain that heโ€™s able to take the field.
