Bears Expected To Fire HC John Fox

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Bears are expected to fire HC John Fox following Sunday’s game.

Rapoport says that Bears GM Ryan Pace will lead the search for a new coach, and team president Ted Phillips has already been doing homework on prospective candidates.

According to Rapoport, DC Vic Fangio could get a look for the job, but the team is expected to hire an offensive head coach that could work with rookie QB Mitch Trubisky.

The expectation has been that Chicago was going to move on from Fox after the season, so this news doesn’t come as much of a surprise.

Fox, 62, was hired by the Bears in 2015 after the Broncos fired him. He has led to the Bears to a record of 14-33 (29.8 percent) over the course of three seasons.

We’ll have more regarding Fox and Bears as the news is available.
