Bears Expected To Retain Dave Ragone As QBs Coach

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Bears are expected to retain QBs coach Dave Ragone, despite showing interest in some available coaching the past few days.

Some of the names linked to the Bears in recent days include Darrell Bevell, Pat O’Hara and Todd Downing.

Ragone, 38, played four years in the NFL for the Texans, Bengals and Rams. he was actually a third-round pick of the Texans back in 2003.

Ragone got into coaching in 2010 as the QBs coach for the Hartford Colonials of the UFL. He left after one season and later agreed to join the Titans as their WRs coach. After three years in Tennessee, Ragone departed to become the offensive quality control coach for the Redskins.

The Bears hired Ragone as their QBs coach in 2016.
