Bears LB Brian Urlacher strained his hamstring in Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks and the injury could spell the end of the linebacker’s regular season, according to The Chicago Tribune.
The injury was non-contact as Urlacher mentioned he felt a “pop” in the muscle during the game. Chicago needs to prepare to play without their star veteran “for a while”, per a team source.
Conceivably, Geno Hayes will move into the starting lineup as an outside linebacker while Nick Roach slides over and takes Urlacher’s vacated spot. The veteran was the team’s leading tackler and Chicago will likely suffer on run defense.
