The Chicago Bears announced Wednesday that they’ve placed G James Daniels on injured reserve and promoted OL Sam Mustipher to their active roster.
Indications were that Daniels’ suffered a season-ending pectoral injury during Thursday’s win over the Buccaneers, so this isn’t a big surprise.
Daniels, 23, is a former second-round pick of the Bears back in 2018. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $6.9 million contract that included $3,930,576 guaranteed.
Daniels stands to make a base salary of $1,111,832 for the 2020 season.
In 2020, Daniels has appeared in four games for the Bears, making four starts for them.
