Bears Promote DL Jonathan Harris, Release TE Bradley Sowell

According to Brad Biggs, the Bears have promoted DL Jonathan Harris from their practice squad to the active roster and released TE Bradley Sowell in a corresponding roster move.

Harris, 23, signed on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Lindenwood back in May. He was among Chicago’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and signed to their practice squad after passing through waivers unclaimed.

During his four-year college career at Lindenwood, Harris appeared in 43 games and recorded 183 total tackles, 38.5 tackles for loss, 22 sacks, four forced fumbles, one interception, and one fumble recovery.
