The Chicago Bears announced the signing of CB Alan Ball to a one-year contract on Friday.

Previous reports had said that Ball had an agreement in place with the Panthers, but he wound up leaving Carolina with a deal.
Ball, 29, was limited to appearing just seven games for the Jaguars last year after he sustained a bicep injury that led to him being placed on season-ending injured reserve.
In 2014, he recorded 22 tackles, one interception and three pass defenses for the Jaguars.ย Pro Football Focusย has him rated as the N0. 40 cornerback out of 108ย qualifying players.
