The Chicago Bears announced the signing of veteran CB Tracy Porter to a one-year contract on Monday.
#Bears have signed veteran CB Tracy Porter to one-year contract. Porter has played 7 NFL seasons w/ Saints, Broncos, Raiders & Redskins.

Porter, 28, had one year remaining on his two-year, $6 million contract when the Redskins cut him a few week ago.
The Bears have Tim Jennings, Kyle Fuller and Alan Ball as their top three cornerbacks right now, but Porter at least gives them some more depth as they prepare for training camp.
Chicago GM Ryan Pace has ties to Porter from their time together in New Orleans.
In 2014, Porter appeared in just three games for the Redskins and recorded five tackles and a pass defense, so it’s really not surprising to see them move on and give some of their younger players an opportunity.
