This opens up a three-week window for Hubbard to practice with the team before Cincinnati has to add him to the active roster.
Hubbard, 25, was selected by the Bengals in the third round out of Ohio State in 2018. He’s in the third year of a four-year, $3,389,200 contract that included a $929,200 signing bonus.
In 2020, Hubbard has appeared in five games for the Bengals and recorded 23 total tackles and one sack. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 66 edge defender out of 114 qualifying players.
