Geoff Mosher reports that the Bengals are hosting free agent DE Vinny Curry for a visit on Monday.
This is the first reported interest in Curry since the free agent market officially opened.
It’s worth mentioning that signing Curry to a contract won’t impact a team’s 2019 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason.
Curry, 30, is a former second-round pick of the Eagles back in 2012. He signed a five-year, $47.25 million contract that included $23 million guaranteed with the Eagles back in 2016 but was released last year.
The Buccaneers later signed Curry to a three-year deal for up to $27 million in 2018, but was released a few weeks ago.
In 2018, Curry appeared in 12 games for the Buccaneers and recorded 21 tackles and 2.5 sacks. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 85 edge rusher out of 103 qualifying players.
We have him featured in our Top 100 Available Free Agents list.
