Bengals Interviewing Rams’ Assistants Zac Taylor & Shane Waldron Friday

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Bengals’ brass will travel to Los Angeles on Friday to interview Rams assistants Zac Taylor and Shane Waldron for their head coaching job.

The list of reported interviews for the Bengals includes:

  2. Bengals STs coordinator Darrin Simmons (Interviewed)
  3. Bengals OC Bill Lazor (Interviewed)
  4. Rams QBs coach Zac Taylor (Scheduled)
  5. Rams pass-game coordinator/TEs coach Shane Waldron (Scheduled)
  6. Patriots OC Josh McDaniels (Declined)
  7. Former Broncos HC Vance Joseph (Scheduled)
  8. Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy (Scheduled)
  9. Buccaneers OC Todd Monken (Requested)

Taylor, 35, began his coaching career at Texas A&M back in 2008 as a graduate assistant. He was later hired by the Dolphins as their assistant QBs coach in 2012 and worked his way up to offensive coordinator.

The Bengals hired Taylor as their QBs coach/offensive coordinator for the 2016 season and he later joined the Rams as their assistant WRs coach in 2017. Taylor was promoted to QBs coach a year ago.
