The Cincinnati Bengals announced Monday that they’ve placed DE Carl Lawson on injured reserve and promoted WR Auden Tate to their active roster.
Lawsonย suffered a torn ACL a few weeks ago, so this move was expected.
Lawson, 23, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2017. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $3.05 million contract and set to make base salaries of $555,000 and $645,000 over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2018, Lawson appeared in seven games for the Bengals and recorded six tackles and a sack.
Tate, 21, was taken in the seventh round of this year’s draft by the Bengals. He signed a four-year, $2,529,072 contract with Cincinnati but was waived and later re-signed to the Bengals’ practice squad.
During his college career at FSU, Tate caught 65 passes for 957 yards receiving and 16 touchdowns over the course of two seasons and 22 games.
