Cincinnati placed the original-round tender on Tupou last month, which will cost them $2.133 million.
Tupou, 25, wound up signing on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado back in 2017. He was on and off of their roster during his rookie season, but managed to make the 53-man roster in 2018.
Tupou re-signed with Cincinnati on a one-year deal for 2019.
In 2019, Tupou appeared in all 16 games and recorded 27 total tackles, no sacks and one forced fumble.
