The Cincinnati Bengals announced Monday that they’ve officially re-signedย veteran DE Wallace Gilberry.ย
- Jim Owaczarski of the Cincinnati Enquirerย first reported that the Bengals were re-signing Gilberry following his recent workout for the team last week.
Gilberry, 31, wound up signing on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama back in 2008.ย He lasted just a few months in New York before being signed off of their practice squad by the Chiefs.
Gilberry later caught on with the Buccaneers in 2012 before signing with the Bengals during the 2012 season. Cincinnati elected to bring him back on a three-year deal in 2013. The Lions signed him to a contract back in April before placing him on injured reserve.
Detroit waived him with an injury settlementย last month.
In 2016, Gilberry has appeared in four games and recorded four tackles and no sacks for the Lions.
