Bengals Reach An Agreement With TE Alex Smith

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Bengals have reached an agreement with former Browns TE Alex Smith.

A recent report from Geoff Hobson indicated that the two sides were close to agreement, so it’s really not all that surprising that a deal came together just a few days later.

Smith, 30, spent the past three seasons with the Browns and is more of a blocking tight end than a receiving option, so it seems realistic to assume Cincinnati will look to find some new ways of Jermaine Gresham more involved in their offense next season.
