The Cincinnati Bengals announced a few roster moves on Tuesday including the release of veteran QBย Josh Johnson.ย Cincinnati also waivedย S Erick Dargan andย DT Kalafitoni Pole.

-Release QB Josh Johnson
-Waive S Erick Dargan

Johnson, 29,ย is a former fifth round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2012. Since then, he’s played for a number of teams including the Browns, Bengals, Chargers, and 49ers.
Last year,ย Johnsonย signed a one-year contract with the 49ers back in May, but wound up being the team’s No. 3 quarterbackย behindย Blaine Gabbert.
The Bengals signed Johnsonย to a contract back in April, but it appears as though they preferย to move forward with A.J.ย McCarron as their backup quarterback.
Johnson hasn’t appeared in an NFLย game since the 2013 season while playing for the Bengals.
