Bengals Signing Supplemental WR Rashaun Simonise

Supplemental WR Rashaun Simonise is signing with the Bengals, according to his agent Brian Brundage.

None of the six eligible players were selected in today’s Supplemental Draft, which means they’re now able to sign on with the a team of their choosing.

Simonise said recently that the Bengals were among the teams that had shown interest in him, so this doesn’t come as a complete surprise. The Bengals wound up losing Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones in free agency, so they could actually use some depth at the position.

Earlier in the week, NFL Draft Diamonds reported that six NFL teams were in attendance for Simonise’s recent workout including, the Rams, Cardinals, Packers, Colts, Jets, and Redskins.

Simonise offers plenty of size at 6’5, which is something he believes could help in the NFL.

“I want to show that I’m a big guy, and that I can do well for my size,” Simonise said, via LockerRoomUpdate.com. “You know, that’s a big question that scouts are looking at. They know that I’m a fast guy, but they just want to know how fast I am.”

In 2015, Simonise recorded 1,079 receiving yards on 51 catches for the University of Calgary.
