The Cincinnati Bengals announced Thursday that they’ve signed CB Tony Brown to a one-year contract extension through the 2020 season.
Brown, 24, originally signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama back in 2018. He was among Los Angeles’ final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and signed on with the Packers’ practice squad shortly after.
Green Bay promoted him to their active roster a few weeks after adding him to their taxi squad and made the team’s 53-man roster once again last year. However, the Packers waived him during the season and he was later claimed by the Bengals.
In 2019, Brown appeared in nine games and recorded 10 total tackles and no interceptions.
