The Bengals waived LB Chris Worley in a corresponding move.
Lippett was waived by the Giants last week after re-signing in New York earlier this offseason.
Lippett, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2015. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $2,494,764 contract and was set to earn a base salary of $705,000 this season when the Dolphins released him coming out of the preseason last year.
Lippett landed on the Dolphins’ injured reserve in 2017 due to a torn Achilles’ tendon and missed the entire season. The Giants later signed him to a contract in October of 2018.
In 2018, Lippett appeared in three games for the Giants and recorded one tackle and a pass defense.
