Bengals Sign K Jonathan Brown To Futures Deal

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Friday that they’ve signed K Jonathan Brown to future/reserve contract.

Brown becomes the sixth player to sign a futures deal with the Bengals since their season ended. The full list includes:

  1. DE Ryan Brown (NFLTR)
  2. DT David Dean
  3. CB Tony McRae
  4. G Alex Redmond
  5. WR Alonzo Russell
  6. Jonathan Brown

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and during training camp.

Brown wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville back in May. He was, unfortunately, waived with an injury designation a few weeks later before the Bengals cut him loose from injured reserve during the final week of the preseason.
