Former Texans WR DeVier Posey worked out for the Cincinnati Bengals today, according to Aaron Wilson.
- The Bengals also worked out receiversย Colin Lockett and Donte Foster, according to Pro Football Talk.
The former third-round pick spent the last three seasons with the Texans, who drafted him in the third round of the 2012 draft. Posey failed to make a big enough impact to secure a regular spot on offense, though. He had just 22 catches for 272 yards in three seasons without scoring a touchdown.
Posey, 25, was traded with three draft picks to the Jets. The Texans moved up 12 spots in the third round because of the trade and drafted WR Jaelen Strong. He was released on August 30 along with 12 other players. He has since worked out for the Bears, as well.
The former Ohio State standout is known for being one of five players suspended for selling game-worn apparel late in 2010.
