Bengals Worked Out DL Nate Orchard & Anthony Zettel

According to Aaron Wilson, the Bengals worked out DE Nate Orchard and DT Anthony Zettel on Tuesday.

Orchard, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Browns back in 2015. He was in the final year of his rookie contract when Cleveland cut him loose coming out of the preseason last year.

He had brief stints with the Bills, Chiefs, Seahawks, and Dolphins before getting released by Miami coming out of this year’s preseason. Since becoming a free agent, Orchard worked out for the Raiders, Lions, and Broncos but left each meeting without a contract.

In 2018, Orchard appeared in four games for the Bills and Chiefs and recorded four tackles, no sacks and a pass defense.

Zettel, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Lions back in 2016. He was entering the third year of his four-year, $2.463 million rookie contract when Detroit cut him loose at the start of the 2018 season.

The Browns quickly claimed him off waivers where he finished out the year. He was among Cleveland’s final roster cuts this preseason.

Since becoming a free agent, Zettel has worked out for the Packers and Cardinals but left both teams without a deal.

In 2018, Zettel appeared 15 games for the Browns and recorded 14 total tackles, three tackles for loss, and no sacks.
