Bengals Working On A Deal With Cedric Benson

Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the Cincinnati Bengals are working on “slow negotiations” with RB Cedric Benson.

During the lockout and before Benson was arrested again, the Bengals made it known that they wanted to re-sign Benson. His current legal issues have likely impacted his current value which is probably why these negotiations are not moving all that fast.

Then again the market for running backs hasn’t exactly been very hot to begin with. The running back has become the most important position with the short career span which may be the reason that players like Ahmad Bradshaw, Joseph Addai and Ronnie Brown are still sitting out there.
