Nick Filipowski of ABC 7 in Buffalo reports that Bills DL Adolphus Washington was arrested Sunday in Cincinnati on weapons charges.
Washington reached for and displayed a gun to police while officers were clearing out a local water park around 10 pm. However, he never informed officers before grabbing the gun.
Washington was later released.
The Bills released the following statement regarding Washington’s arrest:
“We are aware of the incident regarding Adolphus Washington and have been in contact with him. Since it is a pending legal matter, we will have no further comment.โ
Washington, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Bills back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $3.189 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $540,000 and $630,000 over the remainder of the contract.
In 2016, Washington appeared in 15 games for the Bills and recorded 21 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a pass defense.
