ESPN’sย Mike Rodak reports that the Bills haveย restructured the contract of guard Kraig Urbik in recent days.
- According to Rodak,ย Urbik’s 2015 base salary has been reduced fromย $2.9 million to $1.2 million.
- Urbik would haveย received a $300,000 roster bonus on fifthย day of the 2015 league yearย andย countedย $3.75 million against the team’s salary cap.
The Bills are in the process of putting together an offer sheet for TE Charles Clay, so they could really use some additional room in order to make him the best possible offer.
Urbik, 29, signed a five-year, $14.6 million contract with the Bills back in 2012. He had another two years remaining on this agreement to go along with cap figures ofย $3.75 million and $4.075 million.
In 2014, ย he appeared in 15 games for Buffalo and placed a total ofย 636 snaps.ย Pro Football Focusย has him rated as the N0. 53 guardย out of 78ย qualifying players.
