Bills Promoting LB IK Enemkpali To Active Roster, Suspended 4 Games

Ian Rapoport reports that Bills LB IK Enemkpali has officially been suspended for the first four games of the season for punching Jets QB Geno Smith.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Bills are promoting LB IK Enemkpali to their 53-man roster in order to prevent other teams from signing him off of their practice squad while he’s suspended.

Enemkpali, 24, was taken in seventh round of the 2014 draft and has three years remaining on his four-year, $2.3 million rookie contract. The Bills wound up claiming him off of waivers a few weeks ago after he was cut by the Jets.

Buffallo wound up cutting him loose this past weekend, but they later added him to their practice squad.

In 2014, Enemkpali wound up appearing in six games and recorded three tackles and two pass defenses for the Jets.
