The Bills announced on Sunday they have re-signed S Kurt Coleman and placed TE Jason Croom on injured reserve in a corresponding move.
Because Croom was on the active roster following cut downs, he is eligible to be designated to return following Week 9.
Coleman, 31, is a former seventh-round pick of the Eagles back in 2010. He spent four years with the Eagles before joining the Chiefs for the 2014 season.
The Panthers later signed Coleman to a four-year, $18.2 million contract before releasing him last year. From there, he joined the Saints on a three-year contract worth up to $18 million, but was released this past February in a move that freed up $4 million of cap room.
Coleman was signed by the Bills one a one-year deal in 2019. He was released coming out of the preseason.
In 2018, Coleman appeared in all 16 games for the Saints and recorded 31 tackles, no interceptions, and a forced fumble.
