The Buffalo Bills are releasing veteran Sย Aaron Williams on Thursday, according to Rand Getlin.
Williams, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Bills back in 2011. He was entering the fourth year of his five-year, $26,077,844 million contract that includes $14.625 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $3.6 million for the 2017 season.
According to OverTheCap.com, releasing will free up $1,775,000 of available cap space while creating $4,850,000 in dead money.
In 2016, Williams appeared in seven games and recorded 20 tackles, a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown and five pass defenses.
