Bills Signing QB Keith Wenning

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Bills are signing QBย Keith Wenning to a contract on Monday.

Bills QBsย Tyrod Taylor and T.J. Yates are both dealing with concussions andย Wenning has prior experience working with Billsย OC Rick Dennison, so he should be a temporary fill-in option.

Wenning, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2014. He was unable to make the teamโ€™s final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason during his rookie year but was later added to teamโ€™s practice squad.

Baltimore wound up signing Wenning to a future/reserve contract but was cut loose shortly after last yearโ€™s draft. The Bengals later signed him to a contract, only to cut him loose coming out of the preseason.ย Wenning was on and off of the Bengalsโ€™ active roster last year.

The Giants signed Wenning to their practice squadย last year before bringing him back on a future/reserve contract this past January. Unfortunately, New York waived him following this year’s draft.

Wenning has yet to appear in an NFL game.
