Bears Sign S Eddie Jackson To Four-Year, $58.4M Extension

The Bears had made it clear that a new deal for Jackson was a priority for them this offseason and it appears as though it didn’t take long for them to hammer out a record extension for one of the league’s best safeties.

Jackson, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bears back in 2017. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $3.067 million contract and set to make a base salary of $735,000 for the 2020 season.

In 2019, Jackson appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and recorded 60 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, a forced fumble, a recovery and five passes defended.
