Adam Schefter reports that the Buccaneers are not waiving CBย Johnthan Banks and instead are trading him to the Lions.
- According to Schefter, the Lions are trading a conditional 2018 seventh-round pick to Buccaneers for Banks.
Yesterday, Banks said goodbye to the Buccaneers and their fans and a report later mentioned that the Buccaneers were placing him on waivers.
However, it appears as though the Lions were willing to part with a late-round pick to get Banks.
Banks, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2013. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $4.726 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $849,498 for the 2016 season.
This season, Banks has appeared in four games for the Buccaneers but has yet to record a statistic.
