Adam Schefter reports that the Cardinals have reached an agreement with Giants OLย Justin Pugh.
- According to Mike Garafolo, Pugh gets a five-year contract worth just over $45 million from Arizona.
It was clear that the Cardinals were the team to beat for Pugh, even though he was reportedly considering taking a visit to Indianapolis to meet with the Colts.
Either way, the Cardinals get a much needed offensive lineman to block for new QB Sam Bradford.
Pugh, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Giants back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $8.346 million contract and made a base salary of $1,157,307 for the 2016 season when the Giants elected to pick up Pugh’s fifth-year option.
New York paid Pugh $8.821 million for the 2017 season and he was testing the open market for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2017, Pugh has appeared in eight games and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 52 guard out of 81 qualifying players.
