Broncos Expected To Go With Brock Osweiler As Manning’s Backup

Jeff Legwold of the Denver Post mentions that the Broncos are likely install second-round pick Brock Osweiler as their No. 2 quarterback.

The Broncos appear to be encouraged by Osweiler’s ability to make adjustments to his game and throwing motion. The fact that they spent a second-round pick helps his chances of securing the job as well.

Obviously, this assumes that he proves to be competent during the preseason, but that’s probably not all that hard when you’re competing with Caleb Hanie, who’s coming off of a very poor season in relief of Jay Cutler.
