Broncos Expected To Play Practice Squad WR Kendall Hinton At QB On Sunday

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Broncos practice squad WR Kendall Hinton is expected to play โ€œplentyโ€ at quarterback during Sundayโ€™s game against the Saints.

James Palmer adds that we should expect Hinton and a โ€œvariety of other thingsโ€ from the Broncosโ€™ offense tomorrow.

Benjamin Allbright first reported that it was looking like Hinton was going to play quarterback for the Broncos tomorrow.

Hinton was a three-year starter at Wake Forest before converting to wide receiver.

This comes after the news that all of the Broncosโ€™ quarterbacks are inactive this weekend due to them being considered high-risk, close contacts of Jeff Driskel, who was placed on the COVID-19 list earlier this week.

There had been talk that the Broncos could turn to Royce Freeman, considering that heโ€™s the teamโ€™s emergency quarterback.

Hinton, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Wake Forest back in April. He later signed a three-year rookie contract with the Broncos.
