Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Broncos practice squad WR Kendall Hinton is expected to play “plenty” at quarterback during Sunday’s game against the Saints.
James Palmer adds that we should expect Hinton and a “variety of other things” from the Broncos’ offense tomorrow.
Benjamin Allbright first reported that it was looking like Hinton was going to play quarterback for the Broncos tomorrow.
Hinton was a three-year starter at Wake Forest before converting to wide receiver.
This comes after the news that all of the Broncos’ quarterbacks are inactive this weekend due to them being considered high-risk, close contacts of Jeff Driskel, who was placed on the COVID-19 list earlier this week.
There had been talk that the Broncos could turn to Royce Freeman, considering that he’s the team’s emergency quarterback.
Hinton, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Wake Forest back in April. He later signed a three-year rookie contract with the Broncos.
